Life Story

WHAT DO WE DO

Welcome to the Life Story Group—where the wrinkles are wise, the tales are tall (but mostly true), and the third age is a time for thoughtful reminiscence. Whether you're here to sip tea and share heartfelt stories or delve deeply into documenting your family’s legacy, we’ve got a seat for you.

Having lived through a fair few decades (and survived fashion trends we’d rather forget), our knowledge of social history is second to none. We’ve seen it all—from ration books to rotary phones, flared trousers to floppy disks—and we’ve got the stories to prove it.

You might fancy jotting down your greatest hits: weddings, wartime rationing, or the joy of a childhood full of freedom to play outside. From memory boxes to poetry, photo albums to video interviews, we’re embracing any format.

So come along, bring your anecdotes, your artefacts, and your artistic flair. Together, we can turn nostalgia into narrative—creating a legacy of reflection for future generations to treasure.

WHERE AND WHEN WE MEET

We meet on the second Friday afternoon of the month between 2-4pm at St Nicholas Room, St Benets Hall, Vicarage St, North Walsham, Norfolk NR28 9DQ.
