Meditation

One of the things I’ve learned about meditation is that it isn’t really about emptying your mind or becoming perfectly calm. It’s more about learning how to pause, notice what’s happening inside you, and respond to life with a little more clarity.

The benefits can be surprisingly practical. Meditation can help:

·        reduce stress

·        improve focus

·        make it easier to handle difficult emotions without immediately reacting to them.

Even a few minutes a day can create a sense of space and calm.

I also think meditation helps people reconnect with themselves. We spend so much time distracted, rushing, or thinking ahead that we rarely sit quietly and just notice how we actually feel.

Meditating with others can feel especially supportive, because we’re sharing that space to slow down and reconnect.

It is immensely powerful to have that shared sense of stillness and support

The meditation group meets on the 4th Tuesday of each month if interested please contact Chrissie Kimber via the Contact Us page
